Why should a rug be a rectangle?

This one began as a sketch and ended as a flower — hand-tufted in pure New Zealand wool, then carved by hand, edge by edge, until the shape itself became the design. No two come off the frame identical.

HAND-CARVED SILHOUETTE

Every curve is trimmed by hand after tufting. Machines cannot cut this line.

LAYERED, NOT PRINTED

Clay, olive, blush and cream — each colour is a separate pass of wool, so the pattern goes all the way down.

Every rug we make is finished a short walk from where it was
knotted — in the same district that has woven carpets for over
five hundred years.

This one is hand-knotted in pure wool, then washed and sun-dried
in open air. The soft rust and faded sage aren't printed effects;
they come from the wash, the sun, and time.

Three generations. One loom town. No middlemen.
